I love stories. Many of my pieces are inspired by literature and expressed through motifs found in nature  Somerset Maugham, Hermann Hesse, Jack Kerouac and Carlos Castaneda are among my favorite writers.  Crushed rocks, dried leaves, insects, tree bark, glass fragments and spider webs have all been sources of inspiration to me.  I use interesting ideas, feelings, experiences - even dreams - as a starting point for creating imaginative and expressive 3-D images  After an idea is born, the creative process takes on a life of its own.  As an artist, my task is to let go and remain open and receptive to the emerging work.
